This seminar aims to explore how other international conventions may impact on Brussels II Revised in terms of jurisdiction, recognition and enforcement of judgments in matters of parental responsibility. The speakers will share their experiences of relevant cases and give practical tips about how to resolve common difficulties.

About the speakers
Chair: Bryony Poynor specialises in advice and representation in all areas of immigration, asylum, nationality, deportation, and human rights law.
Nadine Finch is a children’s rights specialist in family, community care and immigration and asylum jurisdictions. She has particular expertise in cases involving human trafficking.
Smita Shah specialises in both public and private children’s law, which she combines with being active in the fields of international human rights and humanitarian law.
