This seminar set out how to prepare a case from the outset where one parent is making allegations of parental alienation. The seminar then explored what to do when a parent refuses to comply with orders for contact including enforcement, applications for contempt of court, transfer of residence and other orders.

Ed Elliott, Barrister, Garden Court Chambers (Chair)
Ed Elliott is a specialist family lawyer with over twenty years' experience in private law matters. He is a tenacious advocate involved in intractable contact disputes and cases with allegations of violence, abuse, and factitious illness. Since 2019, Ed has sat as a Deputy District Judge in the Family and County Court.

Stephen Lue, Barrister, Garden Court Chambers
Stephen Lue is a specialist family law barrister. His practice covers a wide range of applications including public and private children law, financial remedies in divorce cases, international child abduction work and domestic violence. He also acts in Court of Protection cases. Stephen was shortlisted in the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards 2021 for Barrister of the Year. 

Jennifer Grehan, Barrister, Garden Court Chambers
Jennifer is an experienced barrister specialising in Children’s Law, Court of Protection and International Family Law. Jennifer appears regularly in the High Court and family courts across London, Liverpool, Manchester, and the North West region, covering a wide range of areas, including non-accidental injuries, parental alienation, removal of children from the jurisdiction, to both Hague Convention and non-Hague Convention countries, Wardship and cases of radicalisation.

Rachel Schon, Barrister, Garden Court Chambers
Rachel has a busy practice representing clients in public and private law matters. She has extensive experience in child arrangement order proceedings and injunctions, including final hearings and fact-finding hearings. Rachel's background in psychological research is frequently of assistance when evaluating expert evidence. Rachel is experienced in working with vulnerable clients and is particularly skilled at explaining complex legal principles in simple terms.
