The 8th of March marks International Women's Day and Garden Court is partnering with the Latin American Women’s Rights Service (LAWRS) to kick off the week's events by hosting an art exhibition showcasing the work of young Latin American women. More information about the exhibition can be found in this flyer.
LAWRS is a user-led, feminist and human rights organisation that has been working with Latin American women in the UK since 1983. Their aim is to facilitate the tools for Latin American women to assert their human rights and pursue personal empowerment and social change.
Sin Fronteras – The No Limits Project
No Limits is a new project to support young Latin American girls aged 14 to 21. Through art, dance, music and other creative means, they explore themes to strengthen their self-esteem, acquire skills and develop potential.
To kick off our International Women’s Day celebrations, we will be joined by young women from this project who will be guiding us through the art they have created and the campaigns that inspire them.
