The speakers, who are both leading housing barristers, will explain how to defend tenants from possession proceedings, focusing on proceedings arising from non-payment of rent.
The seminar will provide a practical update on:
- Possession actions in the public sector, including claims against secure and non-secure tenants
- Possession actions in the private sector
- The Tenancy Deposit Schemes and the impact of the Court of Appeal decision in Universal Estates v Tiensia
