This webinar considered the tensions between the coronavirus regulations and the right to protest:
- Is it possible to legally and effectively protest under the current restrictions?
- Does the subject matter of the demonstration make a difference?
- How are the criminal courts likely to approach the issue?
It then considered more generally the legal boundaries of the rights to protest, assemble and take direct action – including a look at the most recent case law from the European Court on Human Rights.
This webinar is likely to be of interest to protesters and defence practitioners and was part of a series of webinars on protest law. See here.
