In the case of the alleged terrorist plot to blow-up transatlantic flights by smuggling liquid explosives aboard heard at Woolwich Crown Court Henry Blaxland QC and Hossien Zahir represented Mohammed Gulzar who was acquitted of all counts. Gulzar was described by the prosecution as a shadowy figure, who arrived in the country on a false passport to direct the final stages of the plot. The defence described the prosecution case as over-hyped and the jury evidently agreed.
