We are delighted to announce that Amanda Meusz of the Garden Court Chambers Family Team has won the Family Law Case of the Year Award at the Family Law Awards 2022.
Amanda acted for the children's guardian in the Supreme Court case of H-W (Children) (No 2) [2022] UKSC 17 handed down on 15 June 2022. She was led by Cyrus Larizadeh QC of 4PB Family Law and instructed by David Barney & Co.
The case concerned the proper approach when considering whether final care orders should be made, and in determining the proportionality of the order, the importance of considering all available options and the measures which could reasonably be taken to mitigate any harm or risk of harm.
