Footballer Ched Evans is to have his rape conviction referred to the Court of Appeal. The referral is made on the basis of submissions made to the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
Footballer Ched Evans is to have his rape conviction referred to the Court of Appeal, following a decision announced today by the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC). A full appeal hearing will be heard in the near future. Mr Evans is represented by David Emanuel who drafted the application to the CCRC.
David Emanuel is a barrister in the Garden Court Chambers crime team.
