Patrick Roche of the Garden Court Chambers Inquests and Inquiries Team is representing the family of Jill Moon who died in the fire.
The East Sussex Coroners Court agreed earlier this week to resume an inquest into the deaths of three patients killed by a fire on 11 July 2015 at St Michael's Hospice in St Leonards, East Sussex which led to the evacuation of 23 people.
On 28 March 2018 at Lewes Crown Court the hospice was fined £250,000 for what the Judge described as "woefully inadequate" safety measures.
The inquest was suspended pending the outcome of the criminal proceedings against the hospice.
After hearing submissions from Patrick Roche on behalf of the family of Jill Moon who died in the fire, Senior Coroner Alan Craze agreed that it was right that the inquests into the deaths of Mrs Moon, David Denness and Pearl Spencer should be resumed so that the families could hear what had happened on the night of the fire.
Patrick Roche was instructed by Shakiratu Sanusi Of Birnberg Peirce and Partners.
