We are delighted to welcome back Davina Krishnan from maternity leave.
Davina is a member of the Garden Court Chambers Family Law Team and is available to accept instructions from 7 November.
Davina Krishnan has a thriving and specialist practice in all areas of family law. She has previously been instructed in all areas of Children Act work. Upon her return, Davina will prioritise care proceedings (respondent only) and Private Children Law cases.
Davina has particular experience with children's law cases involving sexual abuse, cases with concurrent or previous criminal proceedings (including those with high media attention), and issues of drug and alcohol abuse. She also has expertise in forced marriage protection and experience in cases involving vulnerable adults and young teenagers.
In private law children proceedings, Davina has experience with cases involving the appointment of a 16.4 Guardian, dealing with implacably hostile parents and cases of sexual abuse. She is experienced in dealing with leave to remove from the jurisdiction cases and cases where religious upbringing and changing surname is an issue.
Outside of Chambers, Davina has previously sat as a trustee and director of WISH, a women's refuge and domestic violence service provider in northwest London.
