Artis Kakonge is returning to Chambers after spending the past few years working in local government.
During her sabbatical Artis worked in local government for a few years where she was a senior member of the child care teams at Suffolk County Council, LB Barking and Dagenham, LB Islington and LB Brent, conducting a specialist case-load of care and adoption proceedings in the Family and High Court. She has also used her sabbatical to develop her experience in management gained as a former member of the management committee and co-convenor of the Pupillage Committee. She is currently completing an Executive MBA in Leadership at Cass Business School and is the first ever recipient of the Coca Cola Global Women’s leadership scholarship.
