Garden Court Chambers is pleased to announce that it is sponsoring Beyond Borders through a grant of £1000 from its Special Fund.
Beyond Borders is an international organisation set up to facilitate cultural exchange and dialogue between small nations. Based in Scotland, the initiative provides a platform to cultural leaders from other small nations around the world to exchange experiences in an effort to promote understanding and help reduce conflict.
Mark Muller QC, Executive Director of Beyond Borders said "The grant will enable refugee families to travel and enjoy our cultural events programme in Scotland". Beyond Borders are hosting a diverse programme of art exhibitions, film screenings, literature discussions, live performances, seminars and participatory discussions throughout August.
The Garden Court Special Fund is a unique source of funding which every member of Chambers contributes to. It provides both long term and short term funding to organisations doing legal, campaigning or charitable work in defence of civil liberties and/or social justice.
