Garden Court Chambers are very much saddened to hear the news that Mary Monson has died after a relatively short illness. We send our heartfelt condolences to her sons Joseph and Liam.
Garden Court’s senior clerk and members of chambers knew Mary throughout the decades and formed a long-lasting friendship with her that was built on trust, respect and loyalty. That same relationship will always be in place with the iconic brand Mary Monson solicitors.
Over the decades Mary and her firm instructed chambers in all aspects of criminal law which helped elevate chambers and members' profiles. Today, chambers is prominent in the legal marketplace and one of the largest and most diverse chambers in the country which Mary helped to build. Mary’s name is synonymous with quality, she was a person who simply cared for those people disadvantaged within society. She was a criminal defence solicitor, a lawyer for the people, who would fight tooth and nail to exact justice for her clients.
Mary has left a wonderful legacy for her sons Joseph and Liam. They have the same traits as their mother; a defender of the people and we are sure that they will both propel Mary Monson solicitors to further greatness.
We will more than miss Mary but we are consoled that her legacy through her sons will continue to always fight for justice with no surrender.
