We are thrilled to announce that Miranda Butler has joined the Immigration Team at Garden Court Chambers.
Miranda was called to the Bar in 2013. She then worked in a mixed civil and public law chambers and now joins us as a tenant. She practices predominantly in immigration law, as well as in civil liberties and human rights, and public law. She has worked at the Supreme Court and European Court of Human Rights and with numerous NGOs and charities, including Reprieve, Liberty and The Howard League for Penal Reform.
In addition to Miranda’s practice she is a coordinator of the Athens Refugee Legal Support Project, which sends experienced immigration practitioners to Greece to provide legal advice and representation for asylum seekers. She represents immigration detainees on a pro bono basis for Bail for Immigration Detainees and has worked on various death row appeals for the Death Penalty Project.
