We are delighted to announce that Hugh Mullan and Gerwyn Wise have joined the Garden Court Crime Team as tenants.
Hugh Mullan (2019, Solicitor: 1999)
Called to the Bar in 2019, Hugh joins Garden Court as a senior junior with experience in all types of serious criminal defence work including fraud, sexual offences, drugs supply offences, firearms offences, and appeals. He initially trained as a solicitor and practiced solely as a Higher Courts Advocate for over 20 years and as a partner at an East London criminal law firm. He has led in numerous cases, including murders and terrorism trials. He has also frequently been instructed as a junior in such cases.
Gerwyn Wise (2010)
Called to the Bar in 2010, Gerwyn specialises in criminal defence and has a busy practice representing clients in a range of cases including serious violence, organised crime, sexual offences, fraud and confiscation. He has been instructed in a number of complex and high profile cases in recent years and has extensive experience representing young and vulnerable clients for grave crimes. He also has experience as a junior alone and led junior defending clients charged with high value fraud offences, breach of consumer protection legislation, VAT evasion and other white-collar crime. Gerwyn is also Assistant Secretary at the Criminal Bar Association.
