Members of the Garden Court Crime Team are currently defending four protesters from the UK Uncut movement on charges of criminal damage.
Abigail Bache, Rebecca Hill, Vikky Kerly and Anna Morris are representing four of the nine protesters from the UKUNCUT movement who are standing trial in Brighton for supergluing themselves to the inside of windows of Topshop in Brighton. The group were seeking to raise awareness of the £285 million of tax that Phillip Green of the Arcadia group is said to have avoided paying. Caroline Lucas MP, leader of the Green Party and MP for Brighton Pavilion gave evidence in their defence and underlined the impact that demonstrations such as theirs had within government. The case concludes this week.
