We are delighted to announce that immigration and asylum expert David Sellwood has joined Garden Court Chambers.
David, formerly of Lamb Building, practises in all areas of immigration law, with a particular focus on asylum and human rights. He also advises and represents claimants challenging immigration-related decisions by way of judicial review.
Prior to coming to the Bar in 2012, David worked at Reprieve as the head of their European Commission-funded death penalty project and later as an Interim Director of their Death Penalty Team. In this capacity, he advised on domestic and international law relating to capital punishment and consular assistance. Prior to this, he was a Human Rights Adviser at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, seconded by the NGO Prisoners Abroad. David also spent time as a Senior Immigration Caseworker at a solicitors’ firm where he prepared and presented asylum and human rights appeals.
More information can be found on David’s profile.
