Mr Justice Jeremy Baker has sentenced Imran Khawaja to a 12-year custodial sentence with a five-year extension period in what is one of the most serious terrorism cases to date in relation to Syria.
He had pleaded guilty to preparation for acts of terrorism, attending a terrorist training camp and weapons training.
The case has been reported widely in the media, including via the BBC, the Guardian, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph, The Independent and The Huffington Post.
