After a complex five-month, 10-handed cut throat murder and conspiracy trial at the Old Bailey, Icah Peart QC, Brenda Campbell and Dafna Spiro have secured acquittals for their clients.
The case received a great deal of publicity because one of the defendants - Christopher Nathaniel - was a high profile football and entertainments agent, whose clients included Ashley Cole and Rio Ferdinand. The prosecution had claimed that Mr Nathaniel had paid for a gang to attend the scene of an earlier robbery, to perpetrate a revenge attack. In acquitting nine of the 10 defendants, the jury concluded the victim, Danny O'Shea had been killed by that defendant alone.
The case was widely reported in the media, including by the BBC and in The Guardian.
Icah Peart QC represented Kevin Richards, who was described as the "lynchpin" in the trial. Icah led Tim Brown and was instructed by Tuckers Solicitors.
Brenda Campbell, led by James Wood QC, represented Christopher Nathaniel, and was instructed by Hickman & Rose Solicitors.
Dafna Spiro, led by David Etherington QC, represented O'Neill Wareham and was instructed by EBR Attridges.
Icah Peart QC, Brenda Campbell and Dafna Spiro are all members of the Garden Court Crime Team.
