We are delighted to announce that Ifeanyi Odogwu of Garden Court Chambers has been nominated for the British Nigeria Law Forum Awards which take place in London on 22 November 2019.
Ifeanyi was called to the Bar in 2011. Ifeanyi specialises in civil liberties and sports law.
He represents claimants in civil claims arising from inquests, claims against the police and public authorities, and judicial review. He has gained a reputation for achieving some of the most critical and devastating conclusions against State Agencies in inquests.
He acts in sports disciplinary proceedings and private law matters for clubs, individuals, and governing bodies. He has also quickly become a leading practitioner in sports law, with particular expertise in matters of discrimination. He has acted in some of the most high profile cases in recent years in this area. He was appointed to the Football Association’s Anti-Discrimination Chairman’s Panel at its inception in 2013, and now also acts as an Independent Legal Member on the full range of FA professional discipline cases.
