Jan Luba QC has this week become Chair of the charity Zacchaeus 2000 Trust which provides free help and advice for vulnerable debtors and low-income households.
The charity address the causes of poverty through individual cases, lobbying for improvements to the legal and benefits system in the UK, and by providing training to volunteers and NGOs to help them in helping others. This year it has taken its first test case against benefit regulations.
