We are delighted to announce that Kathryn Cronin and Naomi Wiseman have each been shortlisted at Jordan Publishing’s Family Law Awards. Kathryn is shortlisted in the International Family Lawyer of the Year category, whilst Naomi has been shortlisted in the Family Law Young Barrister of the Year category.
Naomi and Kathryn were shortlisted for the award by a judging panel made up of the Co-Chairs of the Association of Lawyers for Children, as well as senior representatives from Child and Family Law Quarterly, the Family Law Bar Association, the Family Law and International Family Law Journal, the Family Law Reports, the National Pro Bono Centre, Resolution, Jordan Publishing and LexisNexis.
Widely acknowledged as an expert in inter-country adoptions, surrogacies, the international placement of children in care and trafficking, Kathryn Cronin is regularly instructed as an expert on immigration and nationality issues arising in family cases. She is known for her representation of vulnerable clients, in particular cases involving women, children and victims of trafficking. She has considerable experience in cross-over areas where family or childcare cases involve immigration status issues, and in immigration cases where there are family and childcare law and practice considerations. Kathryn is also admitted to practice in Australia.
Naomi Wiseman has extensive experience across all areas of family law. She has been led by leading silks in both financial remedy cases and private children law cases, as well as appearing on her own against senior and leading Counsel in the High Court in public law and financial remedy cases. Naomi has been recognised as an up and coming junior and a rising star by Chambers and Partners for the last three years. Naomi was awarded a Pegasus Scholarship by the Inner Temple in 2015 and spent two months on a placement in Hong Kong, attending the Third Children’s Issues Forum examining children’s rights and child poverty. Naomi has a long-standing commitment to pro bono work through her volunteering at Toynbee Hall’s Free Legal Advice Centre where she was a Residential Volunteer from 2009-2010. She continues to support the Centre.
The Family Law Awards will take place on Wednesday 23 November at the Bloomsbury Big Top.
