'The Law of Artificial Intelligence' is an essential practitioner's reference text examining the application of current regulation and civil and criminal laws to AI and emerging areas of AI-specific regulation and proposed law reforms.
The second edition now includes coverage of "generative" AI and new chapters on Human Rights, Public Law, Employment Law, Financial Services and Autonomous Vehicles.
The book is edited by Matt Hervey, Head of Artificial Intelligence Law at Gowling WLG (UK) LLP, and Matthew Lavy KC at 4 Pump Court, and published by Sweet & Maxwell Ltd.
Louise Hooper is a human rights barrister at Garden Court Chambers. Her practice over the last 20 years has involved a focus on human rights, equality and dignity. She is an expert to the Council of Europe Committee of Experts on Artificial Intelligence, Equality and Discrimination (GEC/ADI-AI).
Louise has worked with the Digital Futures Commission and 5Rights in the UK and UNICEF in the Balkans on child data and digital rights in education. She was an independent gender advisor to ITFLOWS, an EU funded consortium developing migration prediction technology. She has also worked as an advisor assisting tech start-ups implement human rights risk assessments.
