We are delighted to welcome back Naomi Wiseman from parental leave.
Naomi is a member of the Garden Court Chambers Family Law Team, and is available to accept instructions from 12 September.
Naomi has had an extremely successful year overseeing the passing of the Marriage and Civil Partnership (Minimum Age) Act 2022 which saw the minimum age of marriage raised to 18 from 16, ending child marriage in England and Wales.
Naomi was recognised for her pro bono advice to campaigners working to end child marriage and ban the harmful practice of hymenoplasty in the Sunday Times Alternative Honours list for 2021. See our previous news item on this here.
If you are interested in reading more about this work, Naomi has published an article in the July issue of the Family Law Journal.
