The seminar is aimed at legal representatives from all jurisdictions who wish to know more about this human rights abuse.
It will look at :
- The Global situation which has led to a rapid increase of this trade to the United Kingdom and other EEA States
- The characteristics which distinguish it from human smuggling
- The steps being taken internationally to combat this abuse and their effectiveness
- The UK Action Plan and its effectiveness in terms of crime reduction, combatting human rights abuses and providing durable protetction for those who have been trafficked
- The likely effect of ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on Action Against Trafficking in Human Beings
- Legal protection for those who have been trafficked
