Rajeev Thacker is currently instructed by Deighton Pierce Glynn in the inquest into the deaths of Rachael and Auden Slack and Andrew Cairns, which is being held at Derby Coroner's Court. Rajeev is instructed for the Slack family.
The bodies of Rachael Slack and her two year old son were found next to that of her ex-partner, Andrew Cairns, on 2 June 2010. Rachael Slack had previously reported to police that Andrew had made death threats to her and she was considered to be at high risk of homicide. The inquest will contemplate whether more could have been done to protect the lives of Rachael Slack and her son and to address Andrew Cairns' mental health issues.
The inquest has received extensive media coverage, including in the Guardian and by the BBC. To read the press release on the Deighton Pierce Glynn website, please click here.
