Garden Court Chambers is delighted to announce that Rajiv Menon has been appointed as Queen's Counsel by the Lord Chancellor.
Rajiv was called to the Bar in 1993 and has developed a practice in criminal defence. In particular he has developed a specialism in defending those accused of terrorism, and has appeared in many high-profile cases. In addition, he has also works on inquests and civil claims against the police.
Queen's Counsel are appointed by the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice on the advice of an independent panel. The panel considers only advocates of the highest ability who have demonstrated excellence throughout their careers. Achieving QC status in under 20 years is acknowledged to be a sign of exceptional performance and reputation.
