A report from the King’s Fund of health and social care after Brexit
Health and social care is not a matter of significance to the EU and is a matter which is left largely to the member states.
Nevertheless, the referendum vote for the UK to leave the EU is likely to have significant impacts on health and social care throughout the UK, not least because it has brought a period of economic, financial and political insecurity when there are huge pressures on health and care services as a result of financial and operational pressures.
Although no-one can be certain as to the impact of Brexit on health and social care this report identifies five important issues which are likely to need resolving.
