Elizabeth Garcia, of Garden Court’s criminal defence team, represented one of 12 defendants at Winchester Crown Court, alleged to be involved in a large-scale County Lines drugs supply operation.
The Crown’s case is that this was a conspiracy to supply Class A drugs in Basingstoke. Ms Garcia made an application to dismiss the case.
Based on careful analysis of phone downloads and cell-site evidence, she was able to show that her Defendant was not involved in the conspiracy. The cell-site evidence was inconsistent with other evidence showing her client could not have been at the location the Prosecution suggested on a number of occasions. The Prosecution reviewed the case against her client and have decided to discontinue the matter before the trial.
Ms Garcia is instructed by Natasha Patel of LLoyds PR Solicitors.
