The trial of Anis Abid Sardar has begun at Woolwich Crown Court. The defendant, who is being represented by Henry Blaxland QC, is charged with murder, conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to cause explosions. He denies all three charges.
The case is unusual due to the fact that Sardar is being tried in London even though almost all the evidence comes from Iraq. Sardar is accused of making bombs in Syria that allegedly killed Sgt First Class Randy Johnson, a US soldier.
Henry Blaxland QC is a member of the Garden Court Chambers Crime Team.
