Two men have been charged with the rape of Anne-Marie Ellement. Anne-Marie, a Royal Military Police soldier, had alleged that she was raped by two soldiers whilst posted in Germany in 2009 after which she was subjected to a campaign of rape-related bullying.
At the inquest into her death last year, the Coroner found that the effect of an alleged rape had been one of the contributing factors to Anne-Marie’s self-inflicted death. Kirsten Heaven represented the family of Anne-Marie at the inquest.
