We are delighted to announce that Gregor Ferguson, a family law barrister specialising in the law relating to children, has joined Garden Court Chambers.
Gregor is an experienced family law practitioner who specialises in the law relating to children, primarily representing parents, children and other family members in public law proceedings. He will bring his expertise in family and immigration law to Garden Court Chambers’ growing Family Team.
Gregor joins Garden Court’s 32-strong Family Team after three years spent acting as a consultant barrister conducting advocacy for the family department of a large firm of solicitors.
Gregor also has significant expertise in immigration law, having begun his legal career as a caseworker at the Refugee Legal Centre. Since his appointment in 2007, he sits regularly as a judge in the Immigration and Asylum Chamber of the First-tier Tribunal. Gregor has a growing practice in cases involving elements of both family and immigration law. He has always worked in practice areas with a strong human rights dimension.
